Junie DeLeo Scholarship
Criteria and Application
**If you are receiving a full ride athletic scholarship, please do
not apply per NCCA rules **
Value of Scholarship
Minimum of three financial scholarships will be presented provided funds and suitable recipients are available.
Selection Criteria
The scholarship recipient will be selected on the basis of:
- Academic Performance
- Essay (handwritten)
- Extracurricular Activities
- Personal Recommendations (2)
Qualifications
- A June 2024 graduating High School Senior
- A graduate Stamford North Little League
- An overall high school GPA of 2.5 or better
- Acceptance to an accredited college, university, or technical school for the Fall of 2024.
Application
- Complete all parts of the scholarship application
- Write an essay explaining how your participation in Little League contributed to who you are today?
- Submit an official copy of student transcript
- The deadline for completed application submission will be no later than Friday, May 4, 2024
Selection
- The applications will be received by the Stamford North Little League secretary and coded to ensure anonymity
- Applications will be reviewed by a committee of volunteers
- If necessary, personal interviews will be conducted with up to three candidates for final determination
- The selected scholarship recipient will be notified by Friday, May 25, 2024
Additional Information
- All information received as a part of the application process will be confidential.
- The scholarship will be presented at a Stamford North Little League game in late Spring 2024.
- The scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient.
