Friends of West Beach youth baseball,

With the 2023 season over and our fields put to bed for the winter, I wanted to take a few moments to circle back on the West Beach fundraiser and improvement efforts.  In short, it’s been a home run with tremendous progress made!

Thanks to financial support from more than 50 individual donors we raised over $14,000.  Bake sales, parents, grandparents & umpires all contributed via private donations and the GoFundMe website.  Stamford Little League also stepped up big contributing additional thousands $$ to finish the large jobs.  Thanks to this generosity, and hands-on efforts of numerous volunteers, West Beach’s Frank Noto Field looks and plays better than ever.  Attached are a few pages highlighting the improvements including, for example, a new scoreboard (expensive), a new grass infield, and long overdue maintenance of field structures, bathrooms, plumbing, etc.   As a coach working daily with kids on these fields I can vouch for the difference it makes.  Smiles galore, and a feeling we're more on par with neighboring towns.  The lessons the kids learn on the field AND while taking care of it are priceless.

It's not too late to get involved. There are more projects and the GoFundMe is still active HERE.  Any donation no matter how big or small will be put to good use.  Importantly, it's not just the $$, but the willingness to give and get involved that shows our children, our community, and our City that West Beach baseball matters.
